It can be used as an anticonvulsant. It is commonly used in pregnancy hypertension. It lowers blood pressure, treats preeclampsia and eclampsia, and is also used to treat premature delivery.
It is commonly used to treat convulsions, eclampsia, uremia, tetanus, and hypertensive encephalopathy. Magnesium sulfate can be used to treat constipation and abnormal fermentation in the intestine.
Chemical composition
The main component of this product is magnesium sulfate.
It is a sterile aqueous solution of magnesium sulfate. Magnesium sulfate(MgSO 4.7 H2O) should be 95.0 % to 105.0 % of the indicated amount.
