Calcite identification

The rhombohedron is completely cleaved, and its hardness is not high, and it bubbles violently with dilute hydrochloric acid. The crystal form is {012} polycrystalline, and the three groups of {101} are completely cleaved. The hardness is small and the relative density is small. Add HCl and blister rapidly. The heated calcite fragments react with alkali on litmus test paper. There is a fireworks reaction of calcium (Orange).
It is rhombohedral and trigonometrical in shape of nail head and dog tooth, and it is produced by massive, granular, fibrous and milk like aggregates, white, colorless, gray, red, brown, green and black, with white to gray stripes, transparent to translucent, glass to pearl luster or dim luster.
