The desulfurizing agent for removing sulfur dioxide from flue gas is mostly cheap lime, limestone and alkaline solution prepared with calcareous agent. The desulfurizer can absorb most of the sulfur dioxide in flue gas and fix it in zhidao slag. Chemical plants and smelters often use sodium carbonate, alkaline aluminum sulfate and other solutions as desulfurizing agents to treat tail gas containing sulfur dioxide, which can be desorbed and recycled. Iron oxide desulphurizer is a solid desulphurizer, which can be desulphurized with or without oxygen. The principle is to chemisorb sulfur-containing compounds in the waste gas into the pores of the desulfurizer to change its chemical composition so as to purify the gas. When the desulfurizer reaches saturation, i.e. it no longer has desulfurization capability, it needs to be regenerated, such as steam stripping regeneration. However, after long-term use, the activity of ferric oxide desulfurizing agent will decrease continuously. For example, the pores of ferric oxide desulfurizing agent will be blocked by some impurities, and then the desulfurizing agent will be deactivated. However, when trace oxygen exists in the reaction system, its desulfurizing activity can be improved and its service life can be prolonged. The waste desulfurizer can recover the active components therein.
