Magnesium hydroxide, a high-quality flame retardant abroad, is generally produced by the latter two methods. It has the advantages of fine particle size, small surface area and good shape plate. Hydrothermal process is simple, good quality, but high production cost. The relative technology of water method is very complex, but the production cost is low.
