Flame retardant is also known as flame retardant, fire retardant or fire retardant: it is a kind of functional auxiliary which gives the flammability of flammable polymer; it can be divided into additive flame retardant and reactive flame retardant according to the application mode. According to the composition, the additive flame retardants mainly include inorganic flame retardants, halogenated flame retardants (organic chlorides and organic bromides), phosphorus based flame retardants (red phosphorus, phosphate and halogenated phosphates, etc.) and nitrogen based flame retardants. Most of the reactive flame retardants are organic halogen and organophosphorus monomers containing reactive functional groups. In addition, molybdenum compounds, tin compounds and iron compounds with smoke suppression effect also belong to the category of flame retardants. It is mainly used for plastics with flame retardant requirements, which can delay or prevent the combustion of plastics, especially polymer plastics. It is difficult to ignite because of its long ignition time and self extinguishing.
