Application field of magnesium hydroxide

1. Magnesium hydroxide is an excellent flame retardant for plastics and rubber products. In environmental protection, as flue gas desulfurizer, it can replace caustic soda and lime as neutralizing agent of acid containing wastewater. It is also used as oil additive to prevent corrosion and desulfurization. In addition, it can also be used in the refining of electronic industry, medicine, sugar, insulation materials and other magnesium salt products.




2. Magnesium hydroxide has excellent buffering performance, reaction activity, adsorption capacity and thermal decomposition performance. It can not only be used as chemical materials and intermediates, but also as a green flame retardant and additive for polymer materials such as rubber, plastics, fibers and resins. Magnesium hydroxide is mainly used as flame retardant, acid wastewater treatment agent, heavy metal removal agent, flue gas desulfurization agent and so on.




3. The product can be used as flame retardant or flame retardant filler, and added into polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene and ABS resin, and has good flame retardant and smoke elimination effect. The addition amount is 40-20 phr.




However, anionic surfactants such as high-grade fatty acid-base metal salts or alkyl sulfate and sulfonated succinate can be used to treat the surface of particles, and the dosage is about 3%. It is also used in the manufacture of magnesium salt, refining of sugar, pharmaceutical industry, daily chemical industry, etc.
