The difference between magnesite and Turquoise

3 Magnesite Mimics Turquoise. To create the effect of iron wire, it will stain the crevices with dark colors. When you look at the crevices, you will see the deposits of color and glue, without the natural inclusions of iron ore. 

4. The hardness of ore is in the range of 3.5-4.5. The hardness of steel is about 5. The hardness of Turquoise is usually 5-6. A knife can move magnesite but not turquoise, only traces of metal can be removed from Turquoise. But this method has a certain degree of destruction, but also not completely applicable, Turquoise also has a lower hardness.
