light burned magnesium

发表时间:2021-07-15

"Light burned magnesia" and "active magnesia" are different, they belong to two concepts.

Light burned magnesia: its scientific name is magnesia.

Its density is 2.94 and it is light yellow or white powder. It has a melting point of 2852 ℃ and a boiling point of 3600 ℃. It is soluble in acids and ammonium salts, but not in water and ethanol. Easy to deliquescence in the air. It belongs to gas hard cementation material.

Active magnesium oxide, molecular formula MgO.

Its molecular weight is 40.30. The chemical composition and physical form of active magnesium oxide are not very different from those of common magnesium oxide, but some indexes of active magnesium oxide are different from those of common magnesium oxide; If the particle size distribution is suitable, the average particle size is less than 2 & micro; m(2000nm); The micro morphology is irregular particles or near spherical particles or flake crystals; The activity expressed by citric acid (CAA value) is 12 ~ 25s (the smaller the value is, the higher the activity is); The activity expressed by iodine uptake value is 80 ~ 120 (mgi2 / 100gmgo); The specific surface is 5 ~ 20m3 / g and the apparent specific volume is 6 ~ 8.5ml/g. In addition, due to its high activity and easy to absorb water, it sometimes needs to be protected by chemical treatment.

In some aspects, it shows special properties that conventional materials do not have, so it is widely used as a new material.

Application:

Active magnesium oxide is an important raw material for the preparation of high-performance fine inorganic materials, electronic components, ink and harmful gas adsorbent. It is expected to be developed as a cutting-edge material under high temperature, high corrosion and other harsh conditions. It can also be used as fillers for paints, paper and cosmetics, fillers and reinforcing agents for plastics and rubber, and auxiliary materials for various electronic materials.

Light burned magnesia is a kind of light burned magnesia obtained by calcining natural magnesite ore, brucite and Mg (OH) 2 extracted from seawater or brine at 700 ~ 1000 ℃
